Cloudian™: Multi-Tenant Cloud Storage
Thousands of Web Service Providers (e.g. gaming, SNS, file sharing, webmail) and Enterprises (e.g. data mining, email, ecommerce) are beginning to solve Big Data problems with NOSQL (Not Only SQL) technology, which originates from Cloud Storage technologies at Google, Facebook, and Amazon. However, as NOSQL technologies are relatively new, these early adopters must spend significant resources in the training, set up, and operations of NOSQL server clusters. Storage on Demand services enabled by Cloudian™ dramatically lower the technology and cost barriers for companies to benefit from Cloud Technologies: companies can pay for usage and do not need to buy and operate servers and new database technologies. In addition, companies can choose which Cloudian-enabled ISP/CSP to store their data. Cloudian also allows ISPs/CSPs to easily set up private cloud storage clusters for customers requiring custom Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Big Data Database: Open Source Hibari®
The Hibari® database was originally developed by Gemini in 2005 in response to the lack of non-relational databases available at that time. Through 2010, Gemini continued to develop and improve the database at which time it was released as an Open Source key value database.
Gemini is the preeminent provider of support for Hibari. As the original developer, the predominant contributor to the Open Source, and the support organization for major customer deployments, there is no other company that can provide the same capability as Gemini.
