Cloud Web Mail

Overview

photo

Mobile Cloud Web Mail is a system that is best suited for web mail service provided by mobile carriers, fixed carriers, MVNO's, ISP's, portal providers, and cloud providers. Its robust mobile interface can support FMC (fixed mobile convergence) based web mail service.

The major characteristic of Mobile Cloud Web Mail is its design to provide applications on top of the HyperScale® Platform. This allows Mobile Cloud Web Mail to provide high scalability, performance, and carrier-grade reliability.

Also, Mobile Cloud Web Mail can provide low-cost, distributed storage of vast volume of mails as well as high reliability and availability, which is driven by Hibari, a Distributed Non-RDBMS system uniquely developed by Gemini Mobile Technologies. It also contributes to competitiveness and cost performance when larger mail-box capacities are required.

Mobile Cloud Web Mail is a mail system that is best suited for the build-up of a ubiquitous-network environment, covering both PC mail and mobile mail.

Merits

  • Users can send and receive messages by using multiple mail addresses and devices. (It is convenient for users who want to use different mobile devices under different use cases.)
  • Users can easily type and send long text messages by using a mobile address on PC.
  • Users can use the mail service from any device by accessing it from a browser.
  • Storage of large messages on servers is convenient and can improve customer loyalty.
  • Greater capacities of mail boxes and longer mail storage, when compared to conventional services, can provide business opportunities for paid services as ARPU enhancers.
  • Carrier domains can be used not only for mobile mail addresses but also for PC mailing to drive FMC (fixed mobile convergence).
  • The system can be extended to store and manage information that users frequently use, e.g., address books, schedule, and pictures, access data outside of the mail service, share it with other users, and inter-link with other devices, so that a high-value service can be created as an information hub.
