Gemini Mobile Named in Deloitte’s Wireless Fast 50 Program

Market Leadership in Mobile Social Networks and Messaging Drive Ranking

October 24, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Gemini Mobile Technologies, a leading developer of wireless software infrastructure, today announced at the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 Conference that it has been named to Deloitte’s prestigious Wireless Fast 50 Program. The program is a ranking of the fastest growing wireless technology, media and telecommunications companies by Deloitte & Touche USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth over five years from 2002-2006.

Gemini Mobile’s chief executive officer and co-founder, Scott Driggers, attributes the award-winning growth of the company to the momentum worldwide of its messaging technology and its new eXplo software, designed to power mobile social communities. “Since the launch of eXplo less than a year ago, user adoption has proven that Gemini’s platform for mobile social networks is a powerful offering, providing carriers a 3D mobile community to increase user subscription, decrease churn and add advertising revenue,” Driggers said.

eXplo, the world’s first platform to enable social communities on mobile devices, is currently used by more than 200,000 subscribers in the SoftBank Japan network to chat, photo share and purchase goods. Marketed as S!Town, the eXplo-powered application, has already driven up SoftBank Japan’s user adoption and average revenue per month from subscribers.

In addition, the open architecture of eXplo allows for carriers to tailor eXplo’s appearance to their specific customers’ needs as well as interact with popular social applications such as YouTube. Gemini Mobile’s messaging and eXplo products are based on its Hyperscale technology that provides a flexible, scalable and cost—effective platform for carriers worldwide. The company was first to market with a mobile social network when it launched eXplo in late 2006. Gemini has been profitable since its launch in 2001, and recently announced $25 million in funding led by Goldman Sachs.

eXplo is currently being exhibited at Booth #221 in the Deloitte Pavilion at CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007, Moscone Center, South Hall.
